That first hit of yuzu hits your nose before the berry sweetness even registers, and then the Apollo pepper just takes over. The blackberry and blueberry definitely round out the burn instead of hiding it, which is exactly what I wanted for pouring over grilled pork.
Bright purple and dangerously tasty, the blackberry and blueberry sweetness creeps in just after the heat settles on your tongue. I've been spooning it over fried eggs and it turns a plain breakfast into something I actually look forward to.
The yuzu really cuts through the fruit upfront, then the Apollo pepper heat lands on the back of the tongue and lingers nicely. I've been putting it on eggs and grilled chicken, and the sour-then-smoky finish keeps me reaching for the bottle.
